That night’s slumber was celestial. I only got a few hours of rest but yet I woke up feeling revitalized and like a new man. To top it off, I was awoken by a message from Camille saying I should ensure I was not late for work. With one text she made my day. Things I hadn’t done for awhile kept creeping back into my life. I was showering and singing, greeting and talking to Chavell and other people I would come in contact with. “I’m happy to see that you are getting back to being the Evad’o that I admire. By the way I also want to apologize for kissing you the night Camille left. After being completely ignored by you I realized it was a mistake.” She said. “That’s okay there is no reason to apologize, it’s all in the past,” was my immediate response.

The biggest change of all was my smile. From an on looker’s reactions, it seemed that it stretched from one ear to the next. I was happy and it was plain to see.

I got in and as anticipated, O’Neil caught site of my conduct. “Oh my word, this is weird. Other than you and Camille having small conversations, what other thing happened between you two?” He asked. As I was about to respond to him I received a text from Camille. Answering O’Neil instantaneously became second priority. “I wonder why certain people are so happy all of a sudden,” said her text. This made me smile. “Hmm I bet it was Chavell who told you about the expression of that particular person, well the person has great reason to be happy again, can you blame him?” I asked, to my surprise she called me, “Playing smart huh Mr. Samuels, I’ll play along, anyways me, Kendra and a couple of her friends are going out by Fairview to watch a movie and just have a good time tomorrow night, they are her friends but I don’t know them so could you help me out by tagging along so I don’t feel completely left out? Unless you have plans, I know you’re a busy man.” She jokingly said, “Busy? Me? Well you’re totally correct, let me check my schedule, yup I’m free, you knew I would not have said no.” was my response, she laughed and told me she knew I would say yes but she had an urge to joke around with me and also wanted to hear my voice as it has been a while, “Don’t let it get to your head now, calm down. My break is over now so we’ll talk later okay.” She further stated. To say I was happy was an understatement, the rate at which we were rebuilding was startling but after giving it some thought I realized this was all a testament to the love we shared and that it really could conquer anything.
